About Nancy Marcum

 

Nancy Marcum's reputation as a direct response pioneer is derived not only from her long history in the industry, but also her complete knowledge of the entire infomercial process. Her business approach is detailed and hands-on. The success of many campaigns can be attributed to her vision, creativity, strong industry relationships and passion for her projects.

1976
Nancy began her career in the media business as media buyer for Lindstom & Jett Advertising Agency in Phoenix, Arizona.

1984
Nancy formed Media Arts International with Ray Lindstrom for the purpose of distributing infomercial programming.

1986
Marcum and Lindstrom sold the company to National Media Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange Holding Company. Marcum then assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Media Arts and Director of National Media Corporation, positions she maintained until September 1991. As a pioneer in the industry, her expertise and knowledge of marketing in the infomercial format is unsurpassed.

1992-1998
Nancy has managed many big accounts throughout her career. During 1992 through 1995 Nancy purchased media at approximately $30 million annually for Fingerhut/USA Direct. In 1996 she purchased media for Guthy-Renker for many hit shows such as Power Rider and Perfect Abs. In 1997 through 1998, Nancy once again, purchased cable media for National Media Corporation/Quantum where they maintained media budgets of over $52,000,000 annually for such great hits as Larry North Slim Down and T-Fal Ingenio Cookware.

1999-Present
From 1999 through 2003 Marcum was the exclusive media representative for the overnight block of infomercial airtime on Spike TV (formerly TNN) and Country Music Television. Nancy and her team continue to offer full service marketing and media management services to entrepreneurs in the infomercial industry. Marcum Media is currently managing campaigns for Esteban's American Legacy, Huggable Hangers, Magnassager, Lee Dubell's Gain Health and Loose Weight, Packet 8 VOIP, TigerDirect's AMD Computers, Activar with Cheryl Ladd, and Sabino's Secrets for Beautiful Hair.

Marcum has knowledge of product positioning, infomercial production, product selection, telemarketing and fulfillment. This experience in the infomercial industry has helped her understand buyer behavior and created results-oriented media placement.
